These have been completed with our own in-house supervisors and workforce who are fully trained in welding HDPE rising main pipework operating at 16 bar pressure and installing large diameter ductile iron pipes with mechanical jointing systems.
All air valves, washouts and valve chambers were completed as part of the works scope.
The works have been completed inside operational “live” water treatment works by cooperating closely with plant staff to minimise disruption to the operation of these key water company assets.
As part of the Fort Dunlop project Ascot completed a major section of trunk surface water sewer that was adopted by Severn Trent Water and have carried out similar works at Markham and Colne.
The Colne project includes over 1000m of sewers of 900 mm and 1500mm diameter pipes with strategically located hydrobrakes to attenuate peak discharge volumes.
Part of the sewer network is increased to 1800mm diameter pipe in a 10m deep pipe jack due to the proximity of the adjacent dual carriageway.
